Higher Vibes began as a professional studio complex—a home for beauty, wellness, and creative entrepreneurs. Over time, it evolved into something multifaceted, becoming a space rooted in connection and care.

What started as small vendor markets, live music showcases, and experimental performances quickly sparked something larger. A gathering of kindred souls gave rise to Bring Back the Weird, now our creative directors and resident art collective—four women of color committed to preserving Austin’s eccentric spirit while building new traditions grounded in equity, creativity, and radical authenticity. Through this movement, Higher Vibes grew into a hub for community, artistry, and liberation.

As the vision expanded, so did the need for dedicated space. This led to the opening of Vibehaus—a 3,000-square-foot warehouse and storefront designed for art, events, and community programming, with room for local artists and vendors to showcase and sell their work. Vibehaus is one of the few Black-owned art galleries in Austin and among the only Black woman–owned galleries in the city. Built for us, by us, the space stands as a living contribution to Austin’s Black cultural history—located in a neighborhood where Black people were once barred from living or working.

Together, Higher Vibes Studios and Vibehaus form Higher Vibes ATX: a creative campus dedicated to culture, collaboration, and collective growth.
